Student safety is our number one priority. The Transportation Team wholeheartedly believes the relationship between our students and district starts with us. Our drivers are caring and dedicated and work to make students feel welcome and safe aboard our buses.

Facts about Riverview’s Transportation Team:

​

• We drive more than 500,000 miles per year

• We have routers and dispatchers that create safe bus routes

• Dedicated mechanics ensure all buses run at top performance

• Our bus fleet undergoes an annual safety inspection by the WSP. We have earned an Outstanding Safety rating every year since 2016

• All transportation staff  are certified with a CDL Class B license with a school bus endorsement. Each are certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid

• All drivers are required  attend mandatory annual training

• Our drivers, combined, have 200 years of bus driving experience

• Riverview’s Transportation Team believes in community outreach and fosters a community of inclusion

  • Participates in community parades and farmers markets

  • Volunteers with school clubs and organizations

  • Make fun videos

  • Hosts “Touch a Bus” events for incoming kindergarten students to dispel the fear of riding a bus for the first time.
